Join us for our quarterly community gathering “CANtogether”.

You can join a visioning workshop in the framework of our project “Voice 4 Youth”. The project aims to strengthen community bonds and social engagement skills among young adults in Vienna. Afterwards, there will be a shared dinner.

What will happen?

The workshop asks the question:

“How do we envision a neighborhood that enables participation? “.

The workshop is facilitated in German and translated toAustrian Sign Language. The Vision Workshop method works as follows: First, each person ianswers the question for themselves. Afterwards, the question is answered in groups using writing and drawing. This allows us to address commonalities and differences at the end. A visual result is also created.

The location metalab is a hacker space and community that is inclusive to everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, income, or religion. For communication between people who don’t share a common language, there are some drawing tablets to write on. Unfortunately, the space is not fully wheelchair accessible because there is a small staircase at the entrance and in front of the restroom. There also isn’t a guidance system for blind people and only a small number of braile labels.
