Peacewalk 2026 in Linz

Peacewalk 2026 reaches the Linz area on the afternoon of 24 July and stays through the 27th before walking on along the Jerusalem Way. Three open moments frame the stop — a gathering at the peace dove, a summer festival, and a dialogue walk through Linz. Everyone is welcome, whether you walk a stretch with us or simply come along for the events.

Friday, 24 July · meeting 8:00 · Stift Wilhering

Saturday 25 July

At the Peace Dove: a gathering for peace
Saturday, 25 July · meeting 13:30 · Hauptplatz Linz, Tourist Info (Jerusalem Way stamp)

We gather at the Tourist Info on Linz’s Hauptplatz — by the Jerusalem Way stamp — and walk together onto the Nibelungenbrücke. At 14:00 we meet at the peace dove, the Jerusalem Way’s landmark for peace, for a short open gathering: music from a band, a few words of welcome, and space for the walkers to speak. The gathering closes at ca. 15:00.

In the evening, the Jerusalem Way hosts its summer festival in Arbing — you’re warmly invited to join. More info and registration: jerusalemway.org

Peacewalk 2026 follows the route of the Jerusalem Way; the peace dove, raised in 2023, marks that path as a forward-looking sign of peace.

Sunday 26 july

Dialogue Walk: What do the wars of our time have to do with us in Austria?
Sunday, 26 July · 15:00 · Linz · Meeting point: Martin-Luther-Platz

Walking helps us think. On a dialogue walk we move together through the city and open up space for exchange across social bubbles — with people you might otherwise never meet. Our walk guides gently facilitate the conversation: in pairs and as a group, in speaking and in silence, always within a safe and welcoming frame.

The question that guides us this time: What do the wars of our time have to do with us here in Austria? We’ll follow the thread together, at walking pace, and close with a shared snack and a relaxed moment to wrap up.

Open to everyone. Outside. Around three hours. You can take part in both German and English. Please register through the form below.

On the morning of 27 July, the Peacewalk sets off again to Mauthausen. We met at the Peacedove next to Nibelungenbrücke at 8:30 and set off at 9:00.
