We invite you to the lecture / discussion evening with Christoph Schabetsberger in a frame of Carrots in Jars 1200 Wien project. This evening, we want to initiate the discussion with the following questions: What are principles of the solidarity Farms? What are the different strategies of Gela Ochsenherz (Solawi) when it comes to food waste? When does food become food waste? Who is responsible for the food waste in our society?
Christoph Schabetsberger is a member of ‘Solawi Leben’, the national association of Community Supported Agriculture, and works at Gela Ochsenherz, the oldest CSA in Austria. He will present the concept and reports on how CSAs are contributing to a sustainable food system. And how this community of producers and consumers promotes awareness of regional, seasonal, and diverse nutrition and contributes to reducing food waste.
